Photo of the Week: Momiji
The path to a Shinto shrine on Hiko-san, 23 November 2012. Autumn is the season for ‘momiji’ (watching the leaves change colour). This is not to be confused with the practice of ‘hanami’ (watching flowers) or ‘tsukimi’ (watching the moon).
Matthew Perkins read English at St Anne’s College, Oxford, from 2009 to 2012. This year he is living and studying in Japan, on a Tsuzuki scholarship at the Japan University of Economics.
