Tehran—In a city of over 12 million people, considerable unemployment, and staggering inflation, space is at a premium.

Shopkeepers in Iran’s capital maximize their trade—and the aesthetic of their craft—by stacking their products in impressive visual displays.

Kamyar Adl studied photography at Azad University in Tehran before completing his military service near the Iraq-Iran border. He currently lives in the UK and works as a rectifier at BMW Plant Oxford.
